John leads Google Cloud’s Startup Ecosystem initiatives across Asia. Over the last 15 years John has held leadership roles in two venture backed startups in the new media space, as well as strategy consulting and BD roles at Oracle, Booz Allen, and Amazon Web Services, forging global strategic relationships. John holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA. He has spent the last eight years in Asia, during which he has held roles with startups and incubators, as well as the last six years helping successful startups launch and scale on cloud technology.

Yu-Han is a Developer Programs Engineer at Google. He focuses on Google Cloud Platform’s machine learning offerings.
Abstract
Transfer learning is a useful technique to quickly train a custom model without having to design your own neural network architecture. In this talk we will walk through the steps of: import and modify a model, train on your own dataset, export to a TF-Lite compatible format, and deploy to an android device.

Markku Lepisto, Solutions Architect, Google Cloud
Markku is a Cloud Solutions Architect at Google. He has worked in cloud computing for the past 8 years. Before joining Google, Markku led the cloud architecture of Nokia Siemens Networks’ global business units, and covered APAC as a technology evangelist at Amazon Web Services. He works out of Singapore, and helps enterprises and startups across APAC in different industry verticals such as Finance, Manufacturing and Telco leverage Google Cloud Platform. Markku is the IoT solutions lead for APAC for Google Cloud.
